It was last night! The Suede
Gig! It was amazing...
I went to the festival area like at 13:30 and i've heard someone's checking the
sounds on stage,i've heard a bit keyboards of "She's In Fashion" and rushed
there...There was this guy with blonde hair and there was a guy with
sunglasses,and it was Alex! He checked the keyboards and then a bit guitar. Then
suddenly Mat and Richard came on stage! It was unbelievable because me and my 2
friends were the only ones in front of the stage! Mat did funny things on
stage,i took pictures :) And then suddenly Simon and Brett came and they started
to play "She" and when the intro ended everyone understood that Suede was on
stage and they rushed too. They played "She","Beautiful
Loser","Positivity","She's In Fashion","Everything Will Flow" for soundcheck and
then they went off the stage. I forgot to tell ya,that Brett and Mat made funny
faces at me and i took pictures :)
I kept my place in the middle,in front of the stage and watched 5 more bands
before Suede was on the stage,i stood there like 8 hours! The gig started with
"Simon Inst." as usual and the guys rushed on the stage and kick started with
"Beautiful Loser".The song is even greater when you heard it yourself.Then came
the classical Suede gig opener "She".The song rocked,as usual.And after that
came "Trash",it was my vote for it as the opener,but i lost it to "Beautiful
Loser".All the people were singing in tune and when Brett said "this is our new
song,its called Obsessions" i was about to die,cos i've never heard it
before.The tune rocked and everyone went crazy,like everyone went crazy when
they started "Wild Ones".Another Suede classic,"Beautiful Ones" was the next
song and i couldnt believe the audience,they all knew the lyrics and Brett was
very pleased to see that everyone know all the songs! Me,either.
Richard changed his guitar again and it was time for "Positivity".I heard the
tuned guitar and as i got the October,Portugal gig,i shouted like
"Posiiiiitiviiityyyyy!!" and they started to play it...I singed along with Brett
and i noticed some people were looking at me like "how come this guy knows all
these?!" and yet i noticed that the flying camera was shooting me,instead of
swan-like dancing Brett.The summer hit "She's In Fashion" was being played and
at the end of the song,as an another classical act of Suede gigs,we were singing
along with only the drums "Sunshine will blow my mind,and the wind blow my
brain..." The audience were rocking tonight,and Suede rocked the festival.Then
they left the stage,as i knew they would play 4 more,and probably "Filmstar" as
the 1st of the encore,i was comfortable.Everyone was mad and we welcomed Suede
once more to the stage.And yes,i was right and they started to play "Filmstar"
and like we were in the video,we made our fingers 1,2,3 as Brett singed "change
your name,wash brain,play the game..." I was too tired and had to drink
water,after that i heard the intro for "So Young" and i had to spit the water to
shout! Brett also did the same thing and throw the 3rd bottle of water to the
audience.I was a bit wet that time. The next to the last song was "Starcrazy"
which blew my mind.I didnt expect that,but they were playing it.And the last
song was an another classical Suede outro,"Saturday Night".I couldnt believe
that it was really on,but it fucking was.The song ended and they said "Good
night!" and left the stage.It was a dream to come true,and finally i've managed
to see them live,before i leave this world.People were shouting like mad for the
playlist and yet a guy from the stage gave "this" girl one of them.I was mad and
shouted for like 5minutes to get an another one.Another guy from the security
told me to calm down,and he'll go up to the stage and bring me one.I waited like
2minutes and he came with 3 playlists! Asked me to choose one and i picked the
left at right.It was Alex's playlist,cos he wrote with his handwriting the
guitars which he'll play at x song.It was damn cool.Then i rushed to the space
which goes to the backstage.This security guy,who brought me the playlist told
me that band doesnt want anyone back,i told him that we are the only ones from
the fanclub,go tell this.He went and he came with this great news:They wanted us
to come! I was so excited,and yet saw Alex drinking beer.Went near him and
talked about the gig,got all my stuff signed and he told me that our
city,Istanbul rocks and its a wonderful place.I thanked him and then saw
Simon.Same thing with Simon,except that he's taller than he look in pictures.I
hold his beer while wrote some words for my website.Then i met Brett,he asked me
what i do at loveandpoison.org and i told him my works and he said "its good for
you." and then i saw Mat standing like a skyscraper.He is really tall.I've
talked with him about the new album and the audience,he said they liked us very
much and they'll sure come back with the new album tour.I wish so.Then i saw
Richard and he is not really fat.All those rumours about getting fatter and
fatter everyday is all lies,he's NOT FAT! And he is cute :) He wrote this very
funny thing to my website,he made my night for the millionth time: "There's no
better org than loveandpoison.org Its the best org in the world.I'm sure of it.

I was standing near the bar and this guy came and told me that he knows me,asked
me if i was the one who wrote to fanclub,and was published in an issue.I said
yea thats me,and i asked him who he was.He said he's the manager,Charlie
Charlton! I thanked him that Suede came to Turkey and about the fanclub,they are
the best in the world,they never let us down.He thanked me in return and i told
him that it was a pleasure to meet him. This was incredible,i mean i didnt
recognize him,but he did!
It was late and i left the backstage before i was kicked out.I wished everyone
good night and left the backstage.It was probably the greatest day of my
life,and i'll sure never forget it.I'm still in the mood.
